I have now had this book for about a month, and I have found that the tables and text are first rate. The images are good to good enough. I would say that this is going to continue to be a heavily used tome on my shelf!!! Well worth the price.

5 out of 5 stars Best book in TGI Pathology   May 3, 2008

This is the best and comprehensive book in gastrointestinal pathology. It has a lot of excellent quality gross pictures. The chapters about Idiopathic Inflammatory Intestinal Disease and Motility Disorders are helpful and very well written. It has a lot of diagrams and tables and the text covers every topic that you need in anatomic pathology practice. A must have reference in the pathologist bookshelf.

5 out of 5 stars The great pathology book!   November 2, 2008

This book is well written about the GI tract pathology. Although I am a gastroenterologist practicing in Japan, this book helps me understanding the mechanism of the diseases. This book is not only for the pathologists, but useful for the clinicians like me. The shortcoming is that this book lacks the pathology of liver, pancreas and the biliary tract.

5 out of 5 stars The best Gastriontestinal Pathology   August 4, 2008

This book is essential in particularly for Gastroenterology residents, much better if they deal with science. As a gastroenterology resident, I found this book very important for my clinical growth, it may be contradicting when somebody speaks about clinics and is reading about pathology, but this is essential for knowing better how is everything functioning! Specially if you need to expand your current knowledge.
The book is highly illustrated, with amazing images, the text is clear and understandable, and the literature is updated. Thank You Cecilia M. Fenoglio-Preiser for this newest edition!!

4 out of 5 stars The quality for many microscopic pictures is substandard.   August 10, 2009

The text is excellent. Beware of multiple pictures that do not match the text quality.
